Listen now (134 mins) | The horse isn’t looking for dominance. The horse is looking for awareness. The more you tune in, the safer they feel—and when they feel safe, everything changes.
This is another one of our episodes recorded before our 3 week break turned into a 14 month blackout! The stories and lessons are timeless, Warwick is as great a story teller as he is horseman—fans of his (of which there are MANY) may enjoy hearing his pre-gaucho derby reflection. Comment any takeaways you may have, or if you have any follow up questions for Warwick.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who made this fantastic interview happen!! I’m going to listen to it again with my notebook and a pen! So much wisdom and insight, from noticing the smallest change; having the awareness of the awareness; and the more you want out of them, the more you’ve got to change. Empathy! Listening! They are so sacred and here to help the humans be better, 100%! Schiller is fulfilling his calling and wow, we are so fortunate to have our journey affected by him while he is moving forward with his own journey. I’ve shared your interview with at least 3 people and I know they will enjoy it as much as I have. We will have plenty of great discussions because of it.
My calling is about guardianship and taking care of horses, learning their language, bringing them a moment of relaxation, joy or peace; being their voice if needed. I feed, water, turn in, groom, muck, reiki, and liberty lesson/ play with a few fabulous souls. The Masterson Method is also a very interesting modality that I would love to learn more about. Giving back to the horse is key as they give so much to humans. I could never repay or thank the horses enough for the way they have helped me in my life. Learning tips and tools from you guys and people like Warwick Schiller is extremely helpful and has helped set a foundation that aligns with my heart so I can be better with each interaction. Thank you for asking about my calling and thanks again for sharing the wisdom!
Wonderful! Sounds like you have a lot of clarity around this, as the GOAT mythologist Joseph Campbell says 'follow your bliss'-the context of that advice was a lifetime of studying mythology and the human psyche, it's not all about unicorns and rainbows, and about embracing the calling, it means enjoying the learning (aka mistakes) along the way. Have fun and keep in touch!

That’s awesome! I’m curious what this says about your own calling? We are all on the journey, and all so unique ✨
